How much more can we tighten our belt?

Many of my friends I have spoken to, that in view of the price hike in petrol and diesel, we must adapt, change our lifestyle, be austere, cut the clothe according to our size, blah, blah, blah. Now what if a person has only one car to get by. Does he need to dump that old jalopy and opt for a bicycle? Forget about Starbucks, McDonalds or KFC, what if the person had been eating at the mamak stall (and I don't even mean a shop), does he need to cut back to eating plain biscuits and water? A person would have already cut back to eating two meals a day. Does he need to cut down to one? If a man is already married with four wives, does he need to divorce three to reduce it to one? What about those who could only afford a single storey terrace house. Does it mean, he would have to sell off the property to buy an attap house?

I feel this is the beginning of a long nightmare for many of us with those severely affected will be the low income earners, pensioners and senior citizens. What's the big deal about BR1M when they give it to you with one hand and rob you with the other?

We have already adapted from the many price hikes in the past. How much more can one adapt when we have nothing more to adapt to?
Best of luck, everyone.

DAP on the right track and UMNO Baru is sore

WHILE PAS AND PKR ARE STILL STRUGGLING WITH THEIR INTERNAL PROBLEMS, DAP APPEARS TO BE ON THE RIGHT TRACK ENGAGING THE MUSLIM YOUTHS. NOW, EAT YOUR HEART OUT NAJIB, MUHYIDDIN, IBRAHIM ALI, ABDULLAH ZAIK, ZULKIFLI NORDIN, TEE CHUAN SENG AND HASAN ALI.

The devout Muslim is covered in a veil, which only exposes her eyes. She penned a novel, titled Pelacur Kelas Pertama (First Class Prostitute), which raised eyebrows due to its erotic elements.

Among others, the book, purportedly based on a true life incident, is about marital sex abuse.
And now, the 22-year-old Universiti Selangor graduate is bound to raise the controversy bar a notch higher with her decision to join DAP.

In an interview with Malaysiakini today, Jamila Rahim, who writes under the pseudonym Melati Rahim, reveals her reasons for joining a party, whose detractors never tire of branding it as a threat to the position of Malays and Islam.

“If you look at the DAP constitution, it places humanism and human rights as its main thrusts.

“In Islam, humanism is one of the core factors. So DAP is closer to the concept of justice as prescribed by Islam. And Islam is my main principle in life,” she said.

Melati stressed that the humanism agenda pushed forth by DAP was crucial in dealing with people of various races and faiths.

Female Pilot Leads Airstrikes Against ISIS

FOX News can confirm that the first female pilot for the UAE served as the team leader in the U.S. led coalition airstrikes against ISIS in Syria.

Major Mariam Al Mansouri is the first woman to join the Emirati Air Force—a dream she has held since she was a teenager.  She graduated from the academy in 2008 and now serves as a squadron commander, piloting F-16 fighter jets.

Al Mansouri, 35, is the first woman from an Arab nation to fly a mission-- dropping bombs on Sunni terrorists.

The United States and five Arab allies, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, launched a series of airstrikes against ISIS targets inside Syria.

Intern camps for the Muslims in the States?

I was just thinking, my two cents worth.  During the start of World War II, especially after the bombing of Pearl Harbour by the Japs, all Americans of Japanese descent were rounded up and sent to intern camps all over America, the largest one being in Wyoming.  The Americans could not be bothered whether these citizens were young, old, babies, the sick, women or children, they were rounded up and housed away in intern camps and it was noted that the number of people involved were between 110,000 to 120,000. Many Americans decry this act by President Franklin D Roosevelt as they could vouch that the Japanese were as loyal as any American could be since the majority were born and bred in the States. True enough, as the war dragged on, many youths from the camp volunteered to join the US Armed forces to fight the Japanese.

Fast forward to modern day.  Muslims have encroached into almost every aspect of the American way of life and many of them have blatantly and openly vow to destroy the very same country who provided them sanctuary.  If that is not bad, they made it clear that they would not follow the constitution of the United States but only that of the Quran.

Now which is worse, the Japanese Americans in the 40s or these Muslims in 2014.

The Americans should have started to build intern camps and have these people put away till the militant problem is solved.  Now that the US have launched a full air strike this morning, how sure are we that the radical cells in the States have not been activated to take revenge?

Will we be losing these friends from PAS?

With so much bad blood spilled in the last two months, it seems it is inevitable that PAS will have to make their exit from Pakatan, and perhaps good riddance to a person like Hadi Awang and many of the MCPs in the party.
However, I, for one, would hate to lose the friendship of some of the leaders who have done so much in fostering inter-communal and inter-religious ties among Malaysians. Some of them did not only mouth such virtues but personally gone onto the ground to make things happen.
I do not intend to list the names of the eight leaders but instead post a picture gallery of these gentlemen who deserve our thanks. I am sure you will be able to recognise them.

WORDS OF WISDOM ON MALAYSIAN POLITICS

1.     In my many years I have come to a conclusion that one useless man is a shame, two is a law firm and three or more is the Malaysian Parliament.

2.     If you don't read the newspaper you are uninformed, if you do read the newspaper you are misinformed.

3.     Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Parliament. But then I repeat myself.

4.     I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the
handle. This is otherwise known as 1Malaysia Boleh

5.      A government which robs Ah Chong to pay Ahmad can always depend on the support of Ahmad.

6.      A liberal is someone who feels a great debt to his fellow man, which debt he proposes to pay off with your money.

7.      Democracy in Malaysia must be something more than two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.

8.     Foreign aid might be defined as a transfer of money from poor people in rich countries to rich people in poor countries.

9.     Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.

10.   Government is the great fiction, through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else.

11.   Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases:
    * If it moves, tax it.
    * If iit keeps moving, regulate it.
    * And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

12.      I don't make jokes. I just watch the government and report the facts.

13.      If you think health care is expensive now, wait until you see what it costs when it's free!

14.      In general, the art of government consists of taking as much money as possible from one party of the citizens to give to the other (after pocketing most of it).

15.       Just because you do not take an interest in politics doesn't mean politics won't take an interest in you!

16.      No man's life, liberty, or property is safe while either the Malaysian Parliament or the Malaysian Court is in session.

17.     Talk is cheap...except when Parliament does it.

18.     The Malaysian government is like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no responsibility at the other.

19.      The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of the blessings. The inherent blessing of socialism is the equal sharing of
misery.

20.      The only difference between a tax man and a taxidermist is that the taxidermist leaves the skin.

21.      The ultimate result of shielding men from the effects of folly is to fill the world with fools.

22.      There is no distinctly Malaysian criminal class...........save the Malaysian Parliament.

23.      What this country needs are more unemployed politicians.

24.    A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you  have.

25.    We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office.

FIVE  BEST SENTENCES

1.    You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.

2.    What one person receives without working for ... another person must work for without receiving.

3.     The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4.    You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.

5.     When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work, because the other half is going  to take care of them; and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because somebody else is going to get what they work for; that is the beginning of the end of any nation!

Can you think of a reason for not sharing this?

Neither could I .......
