Article 160 defines a “Malay” as a person who professes the religion of
Islam, habitually speaks the Malay language, conforms to Malay custom.
Since more and more Malays are giving up their customs and culture by
being 'Arabised', will they be qualified to be still called 'Malay' in
time to come, or will '.... conform to Malay custom' be changed to '....
to conform to Arab custom' in the constitution?
Will this become the
new definition for being a 'Malay'?
Hmmm .... food for thought though.
