It is certainly nice to live your life backwards.

Woody Allen's sense of humour is a class apart!

"In my next life I want to live my life backwards. You start out dead and get that out of the way. Then you wake up in an old people's home feeling better every day. You get kicked out for being too healthy, go collect your pension, and then when you start work, you get a gold watch and a party on your first day. You work for 40 years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement. You party, drink alcohol, and are generally promiscuous, then you are ready for high school. You then go to primary school, you become a kid, you play. You have no responsibilities, you become a baby until you are born. And then you spend your last 9 months floating in luxurious spa-like conditions with central heating and room service on tap, larger quarters every day and then Voila! You finish off as an orgasm!"

New terrorist attack, this time in Nice, France, with more than 50 people feared dead.

At least 73 people are dead and more than 150 injured after they were mowed down by a truck in a suspected terror attack during the Bastille Day celebrations in the French city of Nice.

Eyewitnesses say there was an exchange of gunfire in the aftermath of the incident before the driver was shot dead. ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack, according to unconfirmed reports in the French media.

Guns and grenades were later said to have been found inside the truck, which mounted the pavement at approximately 40 mph and steered directly towards hundreds of people watching a fireworks display.

Anti-terror police swooped in as the city was put on lockdown and residents were warned to stay indoors for their safety. Gunshots rang out in the streets, with gunmen targeting hotels and cafes in the port city in the south of France.

One witness called Antoine said: 'We were at the Neptune beach and a firework display had just finished. That is when we saw a white lorry. It was going quickly at 60-70 kilometres an hour.'

The gunman jumped out of the truck after ploughing through the pedestrians and began opening fire, witnesses said. Officials said the driver was shot dead near the scene. A second suspect is thought to be on the run.

Eyewitness Wassim Bouhlel said that he saw a truck drive into the crowd and then witnessed the man emerge with a gun and start shooting.

'There was carnage on the road,' Bouhlel said. 'Bodies everywhere.'

They know that the BN, especially UMNO, is waiting for every excuse to crucify them. Why do they keep on making the same mistake over and over again. Are they that stupid or what?

PETALING JAYA: DAP’s “Superman” Hew Kuan Yau has been slammed by netizens for a Facebook post he wrote about China’s claims to the South China Sea.
“ε—ζ΅·ζ˜―δΈεœ‹ηš„!δΈθ¦ε› η‚Ίεε…±θ€Œεθ― (The South China Sea belongs to China! Don’t oppose China just because you are anti-communist),” Hew wrote today in a terse Facebook post.
He was immediately castigated by Facebook users who disputed China’s “historical claim” to the economic rights of large swaths of the region.
“You are mad! No such thing as historical claim,” netizen Kok Shin Shan commented.
“You may hate BN but don’t disown your country’s sovereign right! I hope this is NOT DAP’s stand as far as SCS disputes are concerned.”
Netizen Alexandra Wales explained the matter for Hew’s benefit, saying that China’s claim to the South China Sea went against Malaysia’s ownership of part of the area and exclusive economic zone.

At last, we see some form of action taken. UTM sacks lecturer in TITAS slides storm

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has sacked the lecturer who was at the centre of a controversy over its Islamic and Asian Civilisation Studies (TITAS) module last month, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh disclosed today.
Idris said his ministry did not issue a directive, but the public university decided to terminate the contract of the lecturer who had prepared the slides that had portrayed Hindus as “dirty” and misrepresented the history of Sikhism, sparking uproar from the two religious communities.
“They are autonomous at the moment. They hired the lecturer and they have the right to fire. I was told yesterday that he has been fired,” he told radio channel BFM in its Breakfast Grille programme.

HRH the Sultan of Johore speaks ....

The Johor Sultan has urged Malays to retain their culture instead of trying to imitate the Arabs, amid growing conservatism among Muslims and adoption of Arabic cultural practices.

Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Sultan Iskandar told English language daily The Star that he preferred using Malay words like “Hari Raya” and “buka puasa” (breaking fast), instead of the respective Arabic terms “Eid al-Fitr” and “iftar”.

“If there are some of you who wish to be an Arab and practise Arab culture, and do not wish to follow our Malay customs and traditions, that is up to you. I also welcome you to live in Saudi Arabia,” Sultan Ibrahim was quoted saying in the interview published on Thursday (March 24).

“That is your right but I believe there are Malays who are proud of the Malay culture. At least I am real and not a hypocrite and the people of Johor know who their ruler is,” the outspoken ruler added.
The Johor sultan’s remarks come amid the so-called “Arabisation” of Islam in Malaysia, where there is increasing pressure on Muslim women to wear a headscarf and to cover their “aurat”, as well as the growing popularity of Arabic terms and dress like the “jubah”.

Sultan Ibrahim also told The Star that he has shaken women’s hands, even as conservative Muslims frown upon members of the opposite sex shaking hands.

“Why must I change? You do not have to be fanatic. If they (women) are not sure, I ask if they want to shake my hands. If they do not want to shake my hands, there is no problem,” he was quoted saying.

The ruler also criticised the Batu Pahat Public Works Department (JKR) for putting up a notice that warned Muslim women that they would be hung by their hair in hell if they did not cover up.
State Public Works, Rural and Regional Development committee chairman Hasni Mohammad reportedly said the notice would be taken down.

“Since when is JKR, whether at state or district level, being put in charge of religious matters? Their main job is to make sure the roads are properly maintained and not worry about women’s hair,” Sultan Ibrahim was quoted saying.

“It is not the business of government departments to worry about people’s dressing. Just do what you are paid to do and mind your own business,” he added.
