For those who were schooled in SMK Jalan Cochrane, the one along the main road of Jalan Cochrane and not the present one straddling over Jalan Shahbandar and Jalan Mentri in Jalan Peel, sad news, the entire school is gone - in the name of progress. My 5 years of memories (1961-1965) of our time spent there, totally wiped clean, demolished.

ReplyDeleteCOCHRANE .
Hi Meateater, good to hear from a fellow Cochranean. During the time when you were in Cochrane, I believe I was already on the school's Board of Governors. The principal at that time was Mr Ajmir Singh. Did you attend the school reunion in 2004? It was a showcase of who's who from 1962 onwards.
ReplyDeleteIt saddened so much knowing my old school aren't there anymore. My schooldays are from 1974 to 1978. Mr. Seow bin Hak was the principal at the time and he was friendly with us. Except for form 6's, the rest of us are boys. I am Abdul Halim Zainuddin from 4/5A3-'78. A dropout from 4S2 just for 'Commerce'. Should anybody knew me, use anya@execs.com to keep me info.
