This Sultan (of Brunei) must be joking ...

When I read the following news article about the Sultan of Brunei banning non-Muslim festivities, I just couldn't help but to comment on the following which makes no sense to me especially with the following caveat.

It was reported, " .... with the condition that the celebrations are not disclosed or displayed publicly to Muslims."

Now, what if the Chinese were to celebrate Chinese New Year with all the dragon dances and firecrackers being displayed. Are they supposed to celebrate the activities in sound proof rooms? What if the Buddhist temples or churches ring their bells. Sound proof the bells?
