Racial riot? It is more like a distraction.

Many people claimed that the recent incident at Low Yat Plaza was racial in nature, but I doubt it.
Not so long ago in Klang, there was a case of a snatch thief (read Malay) whose victim was an old lady (read Malay). Five men (read Chinese) who were having a bak-kut-teh meal at a nearby shop, quickly gave chase, caught the thief and beat the life out of him. They were later arrested by the police and remanded. How is it that no Malay mob turn up to exact revenge for the snatch thief? Why was it not categorised as a racial event then? Isn't this case more or less the same as the incident at Low Yat Plaza? I suspect that this is a premeditated act as no one could muster such a big group of near 100 people within a short time, and conveniently they all happened to be from Perkida unless this NGO coincidentally happened to be having their buka puasa gathering nearby? I suspect an 'agent provocateur' was sent in to cause trouble, while the rest lurked in the vicinity of the building waiting for the signal to act. Why such a scheme was carried out, are reasons best known to them. Furthermore, I am not an authority on smart phones, but do fake Lenovo phones exist in the market? If no, how could they claim that the phone sold to the 'thief' was a fake? On top of that, this is the holy month of Ramadan. What were these blokes doing in an area like Bukit Bintang anyway where all businesses considered haram operate there?
This is the second of such incident following the mob attack on a DAP ceramah in Masai, Johore recently.

Now we know why UMNO is so full of duds.

As though things can't get any worse ...

Najib knows he is in deep shit, even though he may not be guilty of any wrong doing as claimed by him, but the pressure on him is nonetheless telling.  How is he going to extricate himself from the mess is anyone's guess.  On the other hand, in their over-zealousness to protect their boss, some sycophants are making remarks that are deemed outright damaging to Najib's credibility.  And below is one example by the IGP that he intends to investigate on the source of the 'leaked' information.  If all that have been disclosed todate are false, why bother to investigate anyway?  Just go to court and sue the party involved for damages.  But, then, he felt he must have say on the matter, no matter what.

This also applies to the AG.  Come on now AG, please get real and stop diverting the issue. If the PM really have private accounts into which foreign funds worth some USD700 million REALLY went in, then an investigation should be made IRRESPECTIVE of where the information comes from. Hanky panky deals must not be covered up and those who leaked such information should be PRAISED instead of threatened. Wrongdoings ought to be prosecuted and not protected simply because the alleged wrongdoer is the PM, your boss. We have a very cock up police and attorney general office which protect selective individuals by threatening whistleblowers instead of upholding the laws. In another report, he clarified none of the 6 accounts frozen belong to the PM when all along the public was led into believing at least one is his. Can the taskforce please be truthful and not be ambiguous? Just give us the facts please. Whatever you said, or not say, only fuel more speculations. If the PM didn't have those private accounts PLEASE Ambank and BNM say so lah. Keeping quiet only make us believe he did. The manner the authorities react to the entire 1MDB scandal, Melbourne property purchase and now the WSJ expose is really sickening.

This is the letter written by HRH the Sultan of Selangor to Farah Ann

And it is written in English too.

The government has launched 'Operations Cover Up'.

Many govt offices/agencies have now gone gung-ho in implementing the sarong to all and sundry, including the non-Muslims, and despite the fact that all and sundry in UMNO have assured the non Muslims time and time again that anything Islamic will not be imposed upon them. What baloney.
Okay, on my part, the sarong is part of my casual wear at home and I have two of them, a blue and a maroon. I intend to have one of them kept in my car just in case I have to visit a govt office and then be told to dorn on a sarong. Being a personal item, I think I prefer mine as it is very pantang to wear somebody else's sarong. More so, when it has been worn many times over by members of the public.
So which one will I look better in if I am being forced to wear one in one of the govt offices.

Reggie, thank you for the memories and the music. RIP, my friend.

For many of us who grew up with the music of The Quests in the sixties and seventies, it was a sad moment when I learned of the passing of it's lead guitarist, Reggie Verghese, who died from a heart attack June 16 2015. He was a great musician and notably one of the best axemen in the region. His good friend and rhythm guitarist, Jap Chong, too passed away last year on March 2. To Reggie, we thank you for the music and may your soul find eternal peace in the arms of our Lord.
