Paranoid, that is UMNO

It was quite a weekend for me and for everyone else too after the momentous event that took place on Saturday. My adrenaline was pumped up and when everything has died down, it just left me with a dizzying effect. Anyway, I woke up early this morning, still lying in bed as my brain started to process all that have happened during the last 3 weeks. It was like one crazy world we were living in. Yellow has become a taboo colour. Name calling and instilling fear by UMNO have become an art form. Even the word "Bersih" has become a dirty word. Imagine a signboard with the word 'bersih' in Kota Kinabalu, was told to be brought down or face police actions. Najib Abdul Razak, the prime minister of our nation, if that is what he is, told a crowd that he could have brought in 3 million UMNO supporters to counter Bersih. What is this? A prime minister suffering from a 'kiasu' syndrome? What you can do, I can do better, is it? Such statement is totally unbecoming of a leader of a nation. I thought as a prime minister, he has to take the middle ground to sort out the crisis instead of taking sides. So, not only is he the president of a political party, he is also the prime minister of UMNO, so to speak.

The msm, they were just lapping up anything and everything that comes out from the mouths of Najib, Muhyiddin, IGP, Amar Singh, Hishamuddin, Nazri, etc. When Najib speaks, his words are almost like the holy grail, that it has to be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I thought journalism requires facts to be checked before going into print. Naaah, not with our fellas. If the "facts" are otherwise upon checking, then they can't print. No printing means no news. No news means no newspaper and no newspaper mean no revenue.

Now, here is one interesting question I would like to ask Hishamuddin. Since yellow has been declared as illegal and now that the BERSIH 2.0 event is over, can we go back to donning the colour again? Or, must we wait for a government gazette to be issued prior, to legalise the colour. Quite frankly, I do not wish to be caught by a nitwit policeman and then to be put away in a lock up, even for a night, for wearing yellow even when things are already back to normalcy.

So at the end of the day, there is only one word to describe UMNO - PARANOID, which brings to mind my favourite group, Black Sabbath, and this song is dedicated to Najib and gang.
